Phone: 414-771-5577 Ext. 147

Education: I have a BA degree in Hispanic Literature and Language. After college, I obtained my Master’s Degree in Spanish Linguistics with a focus on Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language at NMSU. A couple of years later I obtained another master’s degree, this time in Education with particular focus in curriculum development.

Teaching Experience: During my Masters at NMSU, I held a Teaching Assistantship which allowed me to gain experience as a Spanish teacher at the University. After that, I went back to Monterrey, Mexico, where I taught Language and Literature at a High School, including International Baccalaureate Language A - Spanish for 10 years, before moving to Milwaukee. I have been teaching Spanish in Elementary and Middle School with Futura Language Professionals for the last four years.

Family Life: I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, where my entire family still lives. I moved to Milwaukee when I married my Wisconsin native husband, Justin, who is a wonderful chef in the city. We have been married for almost seven years. We own three restaurants in Milwaukee and enjoy life with our two dogs, Randy and Chester.

Interests & Hobbies: I am an avid runner. I run at least one marathon every year. Language is my passion: I am a native Spanish speaker, fluent in English and Italian, and keep trying to learn French. I deeply enjoy traveling, reading, and as one can imagine, food.  One of my main interests is to participate in my community. For the past couple of years, I have been a member of the Board of Directors of Girls on the Run of Southeastern Wisconsin.
