Name: Mrs. Laura Dundon
Educational Background: I received my BA degree in Elementary Education grades 1 through 9 from Mount Mary College in 1988. Since then I have taken over fifty graduate credits, keeping up to date on current trends and technologies in Elementary Education.
How long have you been at St. Joseph Catholic School?: My teaching career began in a first grade classroom at St. Paul School in 1988. In 1990, I accepted the first grade teaching position at Mother of Good Counsel School (MGC). I remained at MGC for twelve years before joining the terrific teaching team at St. Joseph Catholic School in 2003.
Family Life and Hobbies: I have a wonderfully involved husband and two beautiful children who were fortunate to attend St. Joseph Catholic School from 4K through eighth grade. I am so happy with how their years at St. Joseph Catholic School prepared them for the next phases of their lives. We really enjoy doing things together as a family such as attending sporting events, concerts, and festivals, exploring the small towns of Wisconsin, watching movies, vacationing, and playing games. I love non-fiction reading, gardening, exploring new places, craft sales, and laughing with good friends
I have chosen to teach in the Catholic School my entire career because I truly believe that faith is a way of life that must be nurtured, developed, examined, and lived out every day beginning at the very youngest age. As a teacher I strive to create a classroom environment in which every child feels valuable and special. I try very hard to make learning challenging, exciting, hands-on, and current.
