Name: Mrs. Karen Lengell

Education: I received my BSW degree from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse in 1977 and my MS in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 1990. 

Teaching Experience: I have been a School Counselor since February 1987. I worked part-time here at St. Joseph Catholic School from February 1987 until June 1998. I began working part-time at Lumen Christi school in Mequon (formally Sts. Cecilia and St. James) in the Fall of 1992. In the Fall of 1998, I began working full-time at Lumen Christi school. I have been back here at St. Joe's since the Fall of 2012.  

Family Life: I have two children. My son, Eric, is an attorney and my daughter, Rebecca, is married to Joshua and is a Special Education teacher in Wauwatosa. I have two grandsons, Mitchell and Caleb. 

Interests & Hobbies:  I enjoy reading, walking, taking classes, cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

I appreciate being surrounded by our faith to guide us in all we do each day. It is the foundation on which to live our lives. In guidance, I teach children how to put their faith into action.
