Volunteer Registration
It is the policy of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee that all parishes are compliant with the Safe Environment Policy of the Archdiocese. All volunteers that have any possibility of interaction with children and/or youth are required to:
- Read the parish’s Safe Environment Handbook
- Complete the Archdiocese of Milwaukee Safe Environment Training and return a copy of the completion certificate to the parish
- Read the Code of Ethical Standards for Leaders statement, sign and date the last page and return the signed page to the parish
- Complete the parish’s Safe Environment Response form and return it to the parish
The Safe Environment training and the Code of Ethical Standards form only need to be completed once. The Safe Environment Response form must be completed anew every year. Background checks must be conducted every five years, minimum.
Forms must be received and verified before the first interaction between volunteer and student can occur.
