Name: Mrs. Laura Dundon

How long have you been teaching?              I received my BA degree in Elementary Education grades 1 through 9 from Mount Mary College in 1988. Since then I have taken over fifty graduate credits by keeping up to date on current trends and technologies in Elementary Education.

Where have you taught: My teaching career began in a first grade classroom at St. Paul School in 1988. In 1990, I accepted the first grade teaching position at Mother of Good Counsel School (MGC). I remained at MGC for twelve years before joining the terrific teaching team at St. Joseph School in 2003.

Family Life and Hobbies:   I have a wonderfully involved husband and two children who are students at St. Joseph School. We really enjoy doing things together as a family such as attending sporting events, exploring Wisconsin, watching movies, vacationing, and playing games.

Why do you teach at a Catholic School?    I have chosen to teach in the Catholic School System my entire career because I truly believe that faith is a way of life that must be nurtured, developed, examined, and lived out every day beginning at the very youngest age.

As a teacher I strive to create a classroom environment in which every child feels valuable and special. I try very hard to make learning challenging, exciting, hands-on, and current.
